Today was one of the first nice, sunny, Spring afternoons with temperatures in the fifties when it was possible to enjoy a little top-down motoring in the afternoon. Windows and wind deflector up of course, seat heaters on low. Ever since I got my new A3 Cabrio just before Christmas it's been an unusually cold winter, even for Philadelphia (note the traces of snow still on the ground), so I've been itching to lower the roof.

It was also my mom's 78th birthday, so for the occasion I was off this afternoon to see the family. Parked to the right of my car in the pictures below is my brother's new Silver 2015 Q3, while in front of me is his trusty old Navy Blue 2001 A6 Quattro Avant, which is now being driven by my 17-year-old nephew. My mom met us at the restaurant so unfortunately her 2012 A4 Avant isn't in the photograph with ours. Maybe next time. My Step-Father's Camry (he's not a "car guy"), and my Sister-in-law's Mercedes, are sulking off in the distance somewhere.

Cab looks great! Love the color combination (Dakota/chestnut?) In past years the month of March has been pretty mild in philly, so hopefully that just means more top down weather in April for you.

You weren't kidding about "Audi Family!" Hope your dealer takes good care of you guys.

Yes, it's Dakota/Chestnut. I special ordered it and did the 11 week wait. Now I can't wait for fairer weather to prevail. Funny, the "family" dealer didn't want my business badly enough, and they lost the sale by thousands to a dealer closer to me... ...so we're a two-dealership family I guess!

It's actually my first Audi, moving up from a 2012 VW Eos.
