A friend just had his S3 AC compressor replaced, after failure. Seems like his was not the first one his dealer had replaced. Is this becoming a common issue?

I've heard of several people reporting this and that there is a TSB out to fix it under warranty if issues arise.

Please post some more info re: the TSB for this issue. Like a number or where to go to read it, etc.
My S3 has about 6000miles. intermittently, the AC will blow warm air for 15 minutes on start up. Then it will wake up and send out the cold stuff. Other times it will cool right from the start.

Had the same issue, intermittent A/C. Didn't want to take it in to get it checked with it being an intermittent issue and my dealer is a 45 minute drive. Finally, it stopped blowing cold air at all last week. Took it in for diagnosis on Saturday and they are going to replace the compressor valve.

Edit: 3,700 miles.
