It depends on your perspective.
I had a 3 Series BMW that I had for 4 years and sold for $10K less than what I bought it for. That's around $200 per month for driving a new BMW.
My last A4 I sold after 4 years for around $14K less, or $300 per month. I could have gotten more, but I was rear-ended which reduced my sale due to Carfax. I did get a "diminishment of value" settlement from the other person's insurance company which brings the cost down to around $200 per month.

Also keep in mind that during these 4 years there was no extraordinary service , not even brakes.

I like driving a new / late model car, so for me $200 to $300 per month is just the cost of having a car. You can't lease much for that amount of money.

And with the base prices of the A3 and S3 going up, that will help our resale value too.
