Anyone else beat on the car bc it's leased?

I keep my cars mechanically as sounds as they possibly can be. Living in the NYC area with potholes, gravel etc... I cant control the outside, but I can control the interior and what makes the car what I want (engine/suspension/brakes/tires/etc...) I've bought two of my last four cars off of their lease because I know how well they were kept (by me), and the reasons I got this car or that car doesnt change just a few years down the road... for me.
I also don't turn the cars in with hidden problems to dealers at the end of a lease. But its not because I give a crap about the dealerships, who would turn around and sell them after a vacuum, and a wash. I have two kids (boy and girl), and I don't want my kids, especially my daughter, getting stuck at the side of the road in the middle of nowhere because some jackass didn't spend the extra $150 bucks for an oil change or two. So I try to pay it forward, and hope that good karma comes back around.

I treat all my cars, whether bought or leased as if I would keep them forever. It allows me to sell them and get top dollar.
In the end this is a personal decision on how you look at yourself and others.
This is based on 35+ years of car ownership.

Not hate so much as mostly strong disagreement with your thread subject hypothesis. This is a website made up of Audi enthusiasts who, for the most part, love their cars, want them to last, continue to run well and look great. What did you expect?

Basically some posters have equated driving a car hard to trashing hotel room and destroying rental cars. Not really apples to apples.

I lease.
Some days I pound on it thinking I'm trading it in, other days I think I **might** keep it and just in-case I slow down.
I take it easy in my city driving on every mile however

Did you read your own post and title? You said nothing about driving the car hard. You asked if anybody else beat on the car and you find yourself beating on the car. English is not my first language, but beating on a car means something else than driving it hard.

By the way, you did ask if anyone agreed with your "mindset". And, while you may not like what you read, you got the feedback.
