boost4u2; Did it. Today in fact. Was up at TC Klein Racing at 0930 and they did the work perfectly. Another guy from Newark with a brand new Golf R was there at the same time for the same thing. Holy crap did the car change. Were you spot on correct. Silly fast I think you said. I am so totally loving the feel now. Drove around Cbus for some time after the flash. Got home and to my surprise, the APR intake I ordered 3 days ago was on my front porch! Let the engine cool down and installed it. Took if it for a test drive. Sound is enhanced a bit but can't feel any power level change but couldn't really get on it to tell. Too much traffic. Thanks for your insight BTW. Very much appreciated. And watch out for a white Golf R around town. He's as quick as we are I think. LOL. Oh, the tech at TC Klein gave up your secret identity. Or he confirmed who I thought you were. Then again your avatar pretty much gave that away. Keep enjoying your S3 as I know I will. Good luck at the strip as well. Never run there myself. May have to consider it now.

Wow... Sounds great.
I know folks who would get this wouldn't care, but I wonder what effect if any would be on MPG.
I never had a APR tuning, but the website says that it can be reversed. So it could be reversed before bringing vehicle to Audi for service to avoid Audi computer detection.

Superb combination and the performance and fuel economy are unreal.
Drag tested it and it ran 12:78 on 92 octane and I have obtained up to 37 mpg on the highway with the cruise set at 69 mph. Not sure about the in town mileage since I don't like losing at the stoplights, but it seems frugal with regard to in town mpg compared to some cars I have owned.
Also have a '15 SQ5 for my better half. She loves it and won't let me touch the computer!
I have owned (3) A-4's, (1)'04-S4 and a '13 RS5 coupe that was a speeding ticket machine. I like to trade frequently and probably will buy an S-3 after driving one recently. Loved the more bolstered seats, adjustable dynamics with magnetic ride, exhaust sound and the B/O stereo, which I have had but don't have in my A-3. I am certain I will APR the new S3.
And yes, I bought an Escort Radar Detector and it has paid for itself over and over.

Did APR solve the initial hesitation issue?
I am very excited to hear that APR is that good. I will get it done soon as well. But before getting it done I wanted to ask those who already have it. As we all know that there is the lag between a complete stop and application of gas. This small hesitation is believed to be due to a DSG tranny. Does APR flash help to reduce or eliminate it? Thx

Yeah. Finally long waited mod is available now. APR says that ECU mod reduces throttle lag. If APR in fact can substantially reduce this annoying hesitation then for this reason alone it is worth getthing their ECU.
I will wait till i am done with 5K service. I am very excited!

salvadorik; it is reduced most definitely. Not eliminated. I was paying really close attention to that issue. But the car overall seems much smoother somehow. Shifts seem more seamless. Power coming on is simply just a great feeling. Nothing abrupt. Have to pay attention as you will zip up to and past speed limits quickly. I was a bit skeptical but am no longer. I'm sold. Good job APR.
On a side note, installed a new APR carbon fiber intake yesterday. Nice product, easy install. But the stock system has a plenum chamber that runs across the top of the radiator. Draws in air from grill on the left side, goes through this plenum chamber and goes into the stock air box. Well the APR intake totally removes this chamber and connectors to plastic radiator cap area on the right side. I'm not seeing how it gets much fresh air from the grill as advertised on the website. All I can see is closed off with plastic mostly. Wrote APR tech support and am awaiting a response. They have been doing this for some time so I hope I'm just seeing this incorrectly. Intake supposedly adds another 10 HP to the already impressive gains of the ECU tune. I've been smiling so much that my face hurts. LOL.

Can anyone comment on how APR would compare to REVO? I live one hour away from REVO US headquarters (and 40 minutes away from an APR dealer.) APR is $800+$110 install, REVO is $600 including install from the factory, with free reflashes back to stock should I need it (APR is $110 reflash.)
I hear good about APR, but given that it's the factory tuning the car, plus it's half the price, makes me think REVO is the way to go in my situation.

My APR flash was $800. Including installation. Was quoted $50 for a reflash as necessary. If you check, as I'm not sure, APR may make other enhancements which REVO may not. Such as unlock the disconnect which prevents left foot braking. Would imagine both are similar products however. I did some checking into APR prior to the reflash and I really liked what I read. Seem to have a gobs of experience with Audi/VW. I am a very happy camper at this time. Double check on those prices for APR.

I am still on the fence. I also like what I read about APR, but being an hour's drive from the REVO factory is really making this decision a tough one!

Think any car driven to extremes frequently would require maintenance more often. I don't plan on pushing my car hard all the time. Just not possible in the real world commuting to work or shopping or whatever. I just like having the extra juice for those times when I can take advantage of good weather and a nice open back road. The extra grunt does help when pulling into traffic or needing to pass some lame Camaro driver or something but I doubt the APR tune will turn anyone into a Mr. Hyde from a former Dr. Jekyll. But I could be wrong...........
