Default Audi Recall

Hello All,
While at the dealership today for service I was told that my A3 had a recall due to a lighting issue. Here's what I found out about it and the models
SEPTEMBER 24, 2016 — Audi is recalling nearly 95,000 vehicles in the U.S. and Canada because a software error can cause the side marker lights, parking lights and headlights to fail.

Audi names the vehicles as the:

2015-2017 Audi Q3
2016 Audi TT (Roadster)
2016 Audi A3 Cabriolet
2016 Audi A3
2016 Audi A3 (e-tron)
2016-2017 Audi TT (Coupe)
2017 Audi A4
2017 Audi Q7

So get ready to bring your cars in. They are taking care of mine today.

There's another recall that is more dangerous, and is to the older 8Vs and other Audi's of a gasoline leak. It will be a costly one for Audi and they will be sending out the notices to everyone come Nov.

Volkswagen, Audi recall 334,000 vehicles in North America due to fuel leaks | Reuters

I have smelled gasoline while driving ever since I read this article.

From what I can see on our A3 Cab the front amber side markers do not go on when the car is off only the DRLs when you turn the switch to parking lights.
They work fine in normal use with the car on and running or not in all modes.
Gonna wait for the first service, no special trip for me. Never use the parking light mode when the car is off or on for that matter.

ESSS 3; thanks for posting that link. Just checked my 2015 S3 VIN. Nada. I'm good with that.

Had this done the other day while in for other warranty work. Never knew I had a problem to begin with as it seems that it would only be apparent under very specific circumstances.
