Wondering whether anyone has had any luck disabling headlight washers in vagcom.

I've seen a thread on vortex that lists out many of the 8V VCDS mods, one of which is adjusting SWRA (headlight washer) settings.

However, I am having trouble understanding what the code actually does - it seems to suggest that it adjusts frequency not enable/disable.

Furthermore, it looks like the code has not yet been tested.

Anyone have any luck or hear of any others trying this code? Tired of getting my nice wax and wash marked up by washer fluid spraying on the hood.

I've copied the relevant portion of the thread below in italics, but wasn't sure whether linking to other forums is allowed.

Record your initial values. You could try raising and lowering the values. Try a high value, then a low value. The headlight washers come on only when you continue holding the wiper stalk in the washer position longer, so it is logical adjusting the interval before head light washer engages. I hope someone else have better info.

I always thought those were gimmicky. I do like the fact that the washer nozzles are heated.

I haven't even used the windshield washer fluid on my wipers yet to even activate the headlight washers.
