Door Handle sensors not working

Door Handle sensors not working
Has anyone had trouble with the door handle sensors not working in damp or cold conditions? At least I'm assuming that that's the reason they're not working because they've been fine up to now in dry conditions.
The remote unlock still works and so does the keyless start.

I've had this happen, but only when trying to LOCK the car (when it's wet or cold) with the little indentation in the handle, but not unlocking the car.

So this is indeed a problem.
Remember my keyfob that got locked in the car. That event occurred on the coldest week we got of the year 3 weeks ago where we had 0 degree weather.
Also my 2nd spare keyfob is no longer recognized by my car.

In my case, the unlock was causing problems in damp conditions, but the touch lock worked fine. In extreme cold but dry conditions, it seems to be the other way round - unlock works just fine, but the touch lock doesn't. Doesn't bother me much anymore as long as I know there isn't a problem with the unit itself.

If I were troubleshooting this, I'd ask you where you keep the key. When it stops working next time, I'd tell you to put the key fob on the roof of the car and try again and report.

The touch lock always works for me, wet or cold. However, if it's wet, the unlock doesn't work, but it seems to work fine if it's just cold - I live in Canada so cold means proper cold.
My GLI which has the exact same mechanism works fine, wet, cold, gloves, no gloves, etc. so it's a bit annoying the S3's mechanism is so unreliable. And yes, I've tried it numerous times with the both key fobs and with them in various positions/pockets, obviously without my phone or any other devices nearby.

Add me to the list. Lock works perfectly every time. Unlock not always. Thought at first it was dirt or grime from winter driving but even when the car is clean but wet/cold, the unlock sometimes does not work. Remote fob works always of course.

This is concerning! My Ford Fusion has door sensors and they have never failed, including last winter which was one of the worst/coldest winters on record here in Michigan.
Hope they fix this!

I am in the northeast and have the exact same problems as described by 'embrauer'.
I did find a twist, however. When the opening does not work, if I go around to the passenger side it will work. After that, the driver side works for a while until it acts up again a few days later. I've only got this result twice, so it may be a fluke.
