Default Faulty TPMS System???

Hello AW, new to the forum..
2016 Audi A3
In short.. got a flat tire yesterday, TPMS System never sent any alert (no nails found on the tire but it got torn apart on the sidewall).. even with the spare (not a full size but the client one)
It doesn't show off..
Dealer tech says it works, can I prove them wrong somehow?
They say because of the stop n go system, the TPMS resets every time the car stops, and needs several miles to measure again.. true?

Duck, welcome aboard!

The TPMS (without in-wheel sensors) is slow response. So, if the deflation is rapid, you may not get a warning. Others here have reported the same.

Thanks for replying.. now my next issue is, if the diameter on the spare tire is different from the original, why doesn't I go off?

my car had a nail in the tire. it flattened over night. got in my car in the morning to run an errand and the tp monitor did not go off until about a 1/2 a mile down the road. hard to tell when these tires are flat too with the low pro tires.
