Nice ride! Great color too. Enjoy your S3. More smiles per mile than any car I've owned. And from a retired Zoomie to a Jarhead, thanks for serving. :-)

Thanks for the service likewise. This is the most fun car I've owned.
Comparisons to the 135i:
Overall 135i feel more torquey and generally probably a little faster between shifts.
Horrendously slow shifts on my auto 135i. The S3 just zips through shifts. I'd have to give the launch to the S3 as well. With no LSD and only rwd the 1er has a hard time hooking up. The Haldex makes the S3 launch like a dream.
The 1er is actually a heavier car than most think so in that regard the S3 feels more nimble.
All things being considered they put up similar number because of the advantages and disadvantages between them: sub 5 second 0-60 and sub 13.5 quarter miles.
Now that's talking all stock. I had a Cobb AP installed on the 1 with an aggressive stage 1 map and that thing turned the 1 into a torque monster. I took a Cayman S before 10-75 mph.
What is crazy is that Revo is claiming 3.7s 0-60 off a stage one tune for the S3. Can't wait to hear reports back on that one. Can we say CLA45 AMG Killer?
AMG had to crank 26 psi to make that power.
Personally I prefer a smaller displacement motor and a lighter chasis but I've always been fascinated by being able to make so much power from small displacement.
As far as turbo torque the S3 feels similar to the 07 mazdaspeed3 I used to have, except the 3 could only maintain it between 3-5k rpm. The speed3 was an exhilarating car to drive. Whereas the S3 maintains that throw you back in your seat feel from about 2-6k rpm. Love that twin scroll!

Congrats on the S3! Beautiful looking car. Monsoon Grey is some color...I'm waiting for my own Monsoon Grey Audi, albeit an A3...In a few years, maybe I'll make the jump to an S vehicle.
