So I just spoke to my sales guy - a straight shooter who I trust - who went to their parts and service guy who has cut me breaks before and he said ... If they could get the parts, they would do it, but at the moment they don't show the parts as being available in the USA. They are also saying what the screen shot is showing is not current and that parts number has been discontinued and ... Parts for this bought from Audi will run about $350 prior to install/labor. If all this is true I don't think I am up for $500-600 garage opener switch. Feedback

Here is another site for this part number, and it is on sale: FIT.SET | Genuine Audi | 8V4-063-211-6PS
Why would that screen shot be incorrect?

If I can get the part and find someone at a reasonable cost and install. I'll do it. Part of the problem is I wish someone would go first! And we are moving from the metro NYC area in about two months and given the Florida car culture where we are going, there has to be someone down there who does excellent tint work and small mods like this.
But like I said, I really wish someone else here would go first! I'd feel a lot better about this if someone else had a success with a post purchase install!
Edit: I've had success with other issues by going directly to Audi of America. I've just sent them an email on this. I should have an answer within three business days. As soon as I hear back, I'll post the response.

Lol the Homelink madness ensues.. to be honest i was also surprised but im getting over it...
No way can i cut into the headliner. I just taped the remote to the underside of my armrest. Its a great non permanent solution. This armrest also houses my A/V and HDMI cables and iphone 5.

I was surprised that my 2016 Prestige S3 didn't have Homelink, but as I only have 1 garage to worry about, it's not a big deal. I just put mine here:
(remote is snug between the steering column and the display)

I purchased a mini remote opener for about $30 on amazon and velcroed it under the center armrest. Works great, cant be seen and you don't need to open the center armrest to use it. Problem solved
