How to mirror your phone on the MMI screen

Ok, got all the parts and set it up, connection is a bit flaky so going to tighten the connectors. One thing I noticed is that the image is squished and wont expand to the width of the screen. Any suggestions on settings? I looked all over my iphone 6plus and have the converter on NSTC. The pictures in this thread don't look the same as mine.
EDIT: Ok, realized it was a setting in the MMI, switched to 16:9 and it rocks! Also, the Apple Digital adapter has another port for a charging cable. So my initial concern was that my phone would lose power during the streaming. Just connect your normal lightning cable to the Adapter and it will stream AND charge!

Glad you figured it out. Yeah, threw me for a loop at first too. I REALLY want a MFI Lightning extension cable that would work for the HDMI lightning connector, but I can't find one that works. It's just a bit clunky the the adapter in there with two cables sticking out

Is there a simplified setup?
Although I have navi in the car, but I prefer google maps on my iPhone since I can pick route etc. I have no clue how the navi works esp when I try to pick a specific route.

Hey guys im new to this i got a audi a6 2010 le mans i have the audi mmi system with sat nav and all i am trying to use the ami iterface for my note 4 but cnt seem to get it working i have bought the ami cable which has a female usb adapter but everytime i connect it says cnt recognise device any thoughts on how i can get it working
