No Siri audio through BT (siri thru phone's speaker will work only if I take my eyes off the road to press the tiny button in the lower right and select phone as the source)

No B&O, no nav.

Siri seems to function as expected.

About the only time I HAVEN'T regretted not getting the nav option.

Hope AoA figures this out for everyone...I would be PO'ed!

^^^ Ironically, I did NOT want the NAV - or I should say, didn't want to pay for it - Even a first gen iPad is years ahead.

Yeah, I extremely did not want nav. I live in a high rise so on the elevator down to my car, I pull up a destination in Google Maps on my phone. Then it's ready to go and I just pop it in my ProClip dash mount and I'm good to go.

I agree that does the job, but I Love having the navigation map on the screen even when I'm not using it to rout me somewhere.

Plus I hate using my phone taking and have navigation voice but in so I miss parts of the conversation.

I think auto dealers are way over charging for Nav now that everyone has a smartphone.

Yeah I always have voice nav silenced silenced anyway. I agree the amount nav costs is a bit outrageous given the fact that nav in general has reached $0

There is another (similar) thread on this site titled, "Siri iPhone Workaround for A3/S3 MMI" -- stating that I just got an e-mail from AoA that said, "Thank you for your patience during my review of your question regarding the use of Siri in your 2015 Audi A3. My research has confirmed that Siri is not supported in the 2015 Audi A3 or S3. Audi made this change in view of safety considerations, because of the driver distraction that it creates."

I find this unacceptable as the $15,000 Chevy Cruze supports "regular" Siri (all I'm seeking) -- as well as Siri "eyes free" -- but a fully loaded A3 ($40,000+) or S3 ($50,000) does not. Huh?

Actually, you can, you just need to enable "Hey Siri" which is a new feature in iOS 8.

This allows you to say, "Hey Siri" followed by "Call Fred at home" or whatever you'd normally do with the Siri button push.

You can enable Siri's new handsfree mode by opening their iPhone or iPad's Settings application, choosing General, and then Siri. From there, simply ensure that the switch for "Allow 'Hey Siri'" is turned on.

Note 1: Your phone must be plugged in to an external power source (car's USB port or 12V jack) for this to work.

Note 2: If you have an A3 or S3 this won't likely work -- which is utterly ridiculous.
