If there is space in the outboard ends of the lower grille, I'd recommend the Hella Micro DE projectors, which are optically excellent. They were recommended by Susquehanna Motorsports (bigtime SCCA Rally supplier back when SCCA sponsored it) for my Saabaru when I wanted deer spotters and I've found them excellent. I wish I could retrofit them into my UrS, but that would be very difficult and they can't be put into the lower grilles due to airflow to the IC and Oil Cooler.

What I don't know is how to electrically tie the Micro DE's to the CAN-BUS, if that is necessary.

I talked to a guy with a local shop and he can do it but he wants $1300 for everything. Ouch.

The lamps themselves are now on Amazon or Eflay for WELL under $200 for the pair. Since I'm fairly certain that the wiring harness is the same for all models, all that is needed is a factory switch, let's be real generous, 2 clock hours to physically install and maybe 10 min with VAG-COM to get CAN-BUS to recognize the lamps and monitor (or perhaps the opposite) so even in a high labor location(~$90/hr?) you're looking at <$400. Or DIY for probably ~$200 (genuineAudiparts.Com prolly has the switch for ~$100) and find a local bud with VAG-COM to do the programming. Depending on a shop to do everything = keep it stock.
