Speaking of BMW, when are they going to release the A3 equivalent.

The 3-series is an A4 equivalent.

I remember talks of a 1-series sedan, then a 2-series sedan.

Has anything come of it yet?

I wonder if you would say that about Tesla if you drove one. I do not own one but did have the chance to driver rather aggressively the S with the performance package and 21" wheels. IMO it was awesome. Fastest car I have ever driven and with its low center of gravity handling was also awesome. It does not drive like the large car it is.

You cannot compare the 328i to a 340i X Drive. Its the same as trying to translate an experience driving an A4 to an S4.

Just different animals altogether.

What sold me on the 340i X Drive is this new modular B58 straight six twin scroll turbo engine. It is a masterpiece and the sounds are amazing.

Even my wife...not a car person...stated "boy this 340i engine sounds much more aggressive than the one in your S4."

As we all know the Audi V6 Supercharge 333 in the S4 is a very fine engine (maybe even better than what will be in the B9 S4) but the straight six configuration just beats a V6. The of the straight 6 balance is beautiful.

The power of this twin scroll turbo is also superior to the S4's supercharger.

This thing takes off like a scalded cat.

The XDrive allows the 340i to do 0 to 60 in 4.4....4.1 from a rolling start.

Those are M3/M4 numbers!

As my S4 was a '13 which basically had the same cabin as when Audi first launched the B8s in 2009...the 340i Cabin and iDrive is an improvement.

Not as nice as the B9s.

But my only option was a B9 A4 with the 4 cylinder or the 340i XDrive with the B58 straight six twin scroll turbo.

I think we can all agree...if your a driver...that is really no choice.

I am just perplexed that Audi would have a gap of over a year where they have no S4s or S5s on their lots.

If my dealer had either a B9 S4 or S5 in the near future...I would have rolled into that.

But when its September of 2016 and dealer says check back in June/July of 2017...what can you do?

Answer....drive a 340i XDrive.

I didn't mean the car, I think it will prove to be one of the most important cars in modern history, I meant the owner profile, search Tesla Douchbaggery
