Default MMI Animation Smoothness

So question for the A3/S3 owners out there - how smooth is the transitions on MMI?

I stumbled across this video of MMI in an A3. The narrator (Alex) seems to praise the smoothness, while the actual video shows the animation being rather stilted, leading me to guess that there's some weirdness with the camera he's using not adequately capturing the moving image.

Does it look this jittery in real life?

A good example is from about 1:55 forward, moving through the car settings menu.

That is exactly how it animates.

Yep, that's pretty close.
Still a pretty nice system.

Sigh.

It's frustrating to me that Audi would sell a "state of the art" system that's not powered enough to do what's asked of it... especially while touting a partnership with Nvidia.

MMI/ Nvidia system caches A LOT, that is the first time after you start-up, all new screens are un-cached... if you watch the second time you launch a page or change the zoom in the NAV its a lot smoother the second time.

The NAV in the MMI is still the smoothest I've seen, even high-end MBs and BWM and other Audis

The A3/S3 MMI is so much faster than other MMI in other pre-2016 models. My 2014 Q5 takes so long to display the backup camera when put into reverse that I think it is a safety issue.

To be honest, the only device I seen does what it says it days as far as hardware performance, is the Mac, iPhone, and iPad.

and unfortunately, Audi didn't team up with Apple to give us a iOS based MMI so we have to deal with the Audi/nvidia stuff.

It's a pretty nice system. When navigating through all of the audio inputs it's pretty smooth.
