Default No ACC (accessory) position of ignition?

I apologize if this is an old news kind of question. I am new to Audi.

Our other pushbutton start car is an Infiniti M35. If you push the start without your foot on the brake the car is in what used to be an ACC key position. Radio will work. But no other major systems (no cooling fans, etc.).

Is there any way to do that in the A3? If I do the same thing in my A3, it is "ready to run" with power to all circuits including climate control.

I dont have the push button start in mine, just the regular key and there is no ACC position on the ignition either. But if you just press the up/down button for the MMI screen with the car off, it will pop up and all radio functions will be active. I haven't tried plugging in a phone or other accessories but judging by the lights on the MMI wheel and such I bet the charging points are active too.

No the A3 doesn't have that option. You either have everything on engine off OR everything on engine running.

If you press the radio power/volume ****, the radio will come on without the other accessories being active.

Also, I find if you Press start with foot off brake, then press start again, the idiot lights turn off, but the electronics (MMI) stay on for a while.

When I do this - the car is clearly in a ready to start state. The dash is fully lit up, though the climate control is not on (which is normal when the car starts). This state is not an "accessory" position.

Maybe just Deutchland vs. Japan. The German car says "do you want to drive me or play?" - lol

What he says. Press start twice while your foot off brake.

Accessories meaning everything except engine. That included AC, heater, radio, on board computer, etc. If you press any MMI button (ie radio, nav, volume, screen up) the screen will pop up and MMI will turn On with limited function.

Hope that helps.
