Quattro + Manual + Avant in the US?
What are the odds of seeing an A3 Avant, Quattro, Manual, gas (not diesel) in the US? Worst case, I buy a VW GTI loaded with a manual. But if Audi brought the A3, I'd be all over it!

Zero - But there will eventually be a VW Sportwagen Alltrack if you need AWD. May or may not have a manual option. If you need AWD, the Golf R will have a manual option in 2016. I doubt there will be any manual Audi's in the US once the B9 A4/A5 is introduced. VW will be the place in the family for manuals. Sad. but DSG is the future.

Am I the only one who really really likes the DSG? I honestly feel like I've given nothing up. In return I can shift the car ridiculously fast and put it into auto when I'm in stop and go traffic.

I loved the DSG in my 2006 A3 Sportback. I had all manuals until that point but, like you, never missed rowing my own gears with the DSG. The throttle blips on downshifting is one aspect I really miss and just the overall sportiness and quickness of the shifts.
I'm still hoping that Audi USA will bring back an A3 Sportback option with DSG and Quattro.
