Removing A/C vent for cleaning (2015 Audi A3)
I recently bought a certified pre-owned 2015 Audi A3 and realized that the previous owner spilled chocolate milkshake-like fluid in the rightmost front A/C vent. I shined a flashlight into the vent, and I can tell that some parts inside the A/C vent are coated with chocolate-like substance. I did a very thorough inspection of the car before delivery but apparently missed this. Assuming it is too late to go to the dealer and complain, I would like to open up the vent and clean it out before the summer heat.
Does anyone know how to remove the A/C vent and reach inside to clean it? If not, what are some alternatives?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I can't find the thread either, but they just pull out. You can even just use your fingernails instead of a trim tool. The dash material is soft touch and will rebound back into place. The vents are just Velcro'd in there so a firm grip with your fingers on both sides and a pull straight back will make them come out.
