Default Resonator Delete Option

Hi Everyone

I want to get the Resonator Delete Kit for my 2016 S3. The quote I got from my dealership is $420 + tax including installation. I know the kit sells for $270 + tax.

How hard is the installation? And can/should I trust a 3rd party shop to install it for me at a possibly lower cost? Or I should pay and do it at the dealership?

Thanks in advance

not a complete ripoff since the dealer charges around $120 an hour for labor. personally, i would find a reputable local muffler shop and you will probably save $50 bucks.

Did the work myself for my Delete. Took about 45 minutes but I check and re-check my work quite a bit. Hold over from my USAF days. Did buy a tool to help. It's a chain type pipe cutter from Amazon. Loops over the exhaust pipe section to be cut. Slow rocking motion cuts the pipe clean and then the Delete is installed. Super easy. Tool was about $30.

mark: the delete makes the exhaust tone a bit more pronounced. Not a great deal more pronounced however. The downshift burps are a tad louder and sound awesome to me. The only irritating part is the car is much louder on cold start. Especially in the garage. But that fades within a few minutes of warm up.

My sound will change again soon when I get the downpipe installed from APR and ECU flashed. It's on backorder currently but expected in the next few weeks.
