I'll probably just buy a set of wheels and give them to Costco to install Michellin Alpina PA4 winters for me.
I have Continental DSW 06 on my 19s - I just switch em out for summer. Worked last winter, about to put them back on (prob Dec 1).

Finally ordered 18" replicas with Michelin Alpin PA4, $2,100 Canadian all-in.Will post pictures when I get them installed.
Just a question, it has 35+ offset, does that work ? My trustee at Kaltire says it does.

I have been looking to do the same for my S3 and looking into 18's. For those that have been going with the 18" setup, which wheels have you gone with?

So here it is ! 18" X 8, offset is 38, and they were $155 a piece at my loca Kaltire with discount. Tires are Michellin Alpin PA4 225/40R18. The cost me $2,200 Canadian all-in.

How do you all handle the tire pressure sensors? Talking to my local tire guy about 18" wheels/all season tires for the winter (S3 w/ 19" ordered) and he mentioned he could add the sensors but not program them?

Suggest you get in writing that what they supply will be compatible with your car's sensor system. The current pressure is set via the MMI settings menu. Your manual will give you details on that. It has to be reset when you change tires and/or add pressure. The people who installed my tires could not figure out how to reset the monitor. I went back the next day thinking I had a leak but the cause was that they did not reset the monitor system.

The S3 does not have tire pressure sensors, it utilizes the ABS system to monitor the wheel speed. I just purchased my winter setup from TireRack and NO sensors were necessary !!!
The cars manual describes how to reset the TPM system.

I don't think we get that on Canadian version of S3. I have a 2016 S3 Tecknik full option but on MMI nor any other places I can find a setting for resetting the TPMS. Even when installing winter tires the tire shop said My car doesn't have it.

It is in your manual. The TPMS has to be reset whenever tires are changed or pressure is changed (usually the fall)

Personally I would suggest any Canadian S3 owners to call their dealer service adviser and ask them to confirm either way.
Good Luck and let us know how it goes !!!
