Default Is there a way to save the virtual cockpit view?

'17 S3

I hate how every time I start the car it goes back to the fuel mileage screen on the left side (or the middle in the other view). I want it to stay on maps.

I can't find any way to set this as default. I'm guessing it's not possible?

I want to keep it like this:

Was wondering the same thing, really annoying that the trip history/fuel economy screen comes up every time.

I typically leave mine in 'short term memory' since I log mileage for work on occasion. My wife (in her A3) has tried with no success to get the map to 'stick', as you're trying to do.

Perhaps it's possible with coding?

I'm surprised there is no option for this. In my BMW I always had my screen set to split with the map on. I always like having the map there.

I have no desire to see the fuel economy when I start the car

Same here. It is the single biggest annoyance about my new 2017 A3. Does Audi read this forum? Any chance they'll issue an update which solves this problem?

Same request here - still no solve from what I see.

Would also be nice if Android Auto/CarPlay could be assigned to the multi-function button on steering wheel.
