Default Will the TT 8S steering wheel fit the A3/S3?

I was just wondering if anyone has tried to fit this steering wheel onto the 8V model as both are MQB based. The airbag looks different for sure, but was wondering if a complete wheel with airbag would function on the 8V.

If the connectors are the same and the airbag is dual stage, it should work.

That looks like the same wheel that already comes on the S3. Why would you want to change to it?

Probably because I don't have an S3... The wheel is the updated version of the flat bottom wheel that will probably be the design going forward. Here's a better pic which you can see how different is it compared to the standard flat bottom:

From the picture, it looks like there are actually a few extra buttons around the scroll wheel buttons. This might not work. I personally would be concerned about the different airbags - something I would not want to screw with.

Yeah, I've been contemplating the same thought about how the airbag and buttons might not work...but damn that wheel looks good. Might just settle for the regular flat bottom with paddles.

I'm from the Bay Area too and was following your aftermarket Android mod. I was pretty impressed.

Ya the Android stereo, love it. I just finally got it all working correctly (I had to find a powered microphone) for Google Now to work. So now even with the sunroof open on the highway, it still can understand my voice commands. If you ever want to check it out, let me know.

BTW, are you apart of that car crew illmatic?

I tried fitting this wheel and almost everything works. Other than the sportier looks, I also like the fact that it has additional multi-function buttons. You can switch tracks or radio stations by pressing left or right on the volume control wheel button.

Unfortuately I had to revert back to stock S3 steering wheel as none of the multi-function buttons on the left side of the steering wheel works.
