Hi got a S3 sedan 2014 and the 1st gear sounds like the reverse when the gear is rolling is this normal?, the car is the s-tronic version. All other gears sounds fine.

Did you find out why this happens? I have audi a3 quattro 2016 and have the same problem. I hope it is normal
behaviour. Please answer and all the best

I have the 6-speed S-tronic on my 2013 A3. The first gear doesn't sound any different from all other forward gears.

Are you hearing gear whine? When's the last time you checked/replaced the transmission fluid? When the fluid is low, there's not enough lubrication and the gears whine.
