Default 2008.5 + TFSI Titanium - reliability?

Hi,
I am new to this forum but have been on other forums for years - this is my 10th VW/Audi product...

I have an 2008.5 with the 2.0 TFSI motor... it currently has 86K on it and has already had several issues since my short time of ownership (since 77k).

1. Water Pump toast... now on 2nd one
2. Found out the valve cover needs to be replace as it was/is the cause of the water pump failure.
3. Injectors seem to get clogged up (I have changed fuel filter) and only use Shell 93.

Outside of that, it is a sharp car (a little on the small side) coming from a GTi but it is my commute car for 70 miles a day by myself.

I am just wondering long term what is reality with these direct injected motors... I am a little miffed at the recent events - however I do understand that I did not own the car since new and I don't know if the previous owners abused her or what the story could be...

any opinions about the TFSI motor and what is real long term abilities? My previous 1.8T GTi was flawless and I only had one issue in 153K miles -

thanks in advance for you opinions and thoughts!
