2010 Audi A3 TDI S-Line - softer ride
I know this has been posted before, but have a specific question around springs.
I'm really liking this car, but the ride is atrocious on my local crappy northeast roads. I have a lowered Corvette Z06 with Bilstein Sport shocks and it rides 10x better than this car!
The consensus seems to be that the shocks are the weak point and to upgrade to Koni FSD's with Eibach springs.
I understand that Eibach springs are progressive. My question is, are the springs really necessary for a better ride? In other words, is the initial spring rate of the Eibach's LESS/SOFTER than the overall spring rate of the S-Line springs?
I have no desire to lower the car, just want a better ride.

what it is you want ... you should just go with Coil Over kit.
JUST springs will wear out your shocks fast and then you'll really hate your ride.

Smoother ride over crappy roads. More compliant and controlled over changes in the road. The Koni FSD's seem to fit the bill, just not sure if they will do it alone.
