2012 A3 Headlight Upgrade
I recently purchased a 2012 A3 TDI but (regretfully) didn't opt for the premium plus package to get the much better Xeon / LED DRL headlamps. I'm looking to upgrade these myself but I'm new to Audi and DIY upgrades in general and would be grateful for any advice any of you could offer on how I should go about it.
Specifically,
Is it worth trying to do this yourself vs biting the bullet and having the dealership do it?
Is this just a housing upgrade, or will there be additional wiring needed?
What is the best place to obtain OEM parts for the upgrade? (price vs quality)
I appreciate any information you can offer.

I do not have a definitive answer for you. I would imagine that it will be an expensive undertaking to retrofit the headlamps.
Why not ask the dealership parts manager to look up the parts for you and determine if the wiring will have to be modified?
