2015 S3 order update (NorCal)
My daughter (6 years old) convinced me to nag my dealer about the 'new car', so we went to the dealership. It was ordered on June 18th.
Latest report states that it has been 'submitted to manufacturer', dealer say that means it will go into production any day.
Our napkin math is that it will arrive in Sept.
My trusty 2001 A4 2.8 will have to suffice a little longer, which will be very bittersweet to let-go.
Oh the agony of the wait...

Newest update… NOVEMBER… sigh
Production week for my S3 is October 14th. delivery around Thanksgiving.
Ugh… I'll just keep fondling the brochure till then.

I hope delays have nothing to do with the turbo problems I've been reading about in other forums:
2014 Audi S3, Golf R and Leon Cupra Developing Turbo Problems
There have already been 3 hardware revisions on the S3 turbos as well:
2.0T Transverse Engine
(High output engines – Example Golf R / S3 / Leon Cupra):
06K 145 702 J - Revision 1
06K 145 702 N - Revision 2
06K 145 722 A - Revision 3
