The premium compact sedan offers the latest in progressive technology at a competitive price. The base MSRP for the Audi A3 1.8 TFSI will start at $29,900 and the 2.0 TFSIŽ will start at $32,900.

So we're looking at what, $45-50k for a well equipped S3? That's too close to S4 money jn my book.

I hope it doesn't end up being that much for the "S" but if so, I'm with you on this one. Great looking car either way in my opinion.

With metallic paint and the 895 destination, you're already close to 52 grand for premium plus S4.

With the navigation, B&0 sound, rear sports diff, full leather, 19's...you're up to ~58 grand. There will be a 5-6k price difference between an S3 and S4

The new A3/S3 has better technology on it that the S4 right now. It's the new generation. A loaded Prestige A3 2.0T Quattro is around 44.5k. The same car in an A4 is ~48k. So you're not going to save $10,000 bewteen models.

You need to look at the old A3 pricing. You could get an old generation 2.0T A3 Quattro to 42k.

The new A3 2.0T Quattro makes the old car look really bad, for a small increase in price. The ancient nav plus, no camera, side assist, lack of upgraded voice activation, etc.
