Audi A3 /S3 2003 1.8T. Transmission Slipping

Audi A3 /S3 2003 1.8T. Transmission Slipping
Hi
I have recently purchased an Audi A3/S3 2003 1.8T with a 5 speed tiptronic autommatic transmission and after driving it for about 200km, the tranny just started slipping and losing drive.
Got a mechanic to check it out and he checked and changed the tranny fluid, in the process he disconnected the battery, and a few other cables but all that is sorted now, the car runs now but im not sure he got the ATF level right,and the ATF type correct.
Im thinking of doing the Adaptations and replacing the ATF with the correct one myself, what best ATF can i put, and how much does the transmission take. I got a VAGCOM cable recently and i can scan and clear codes.
