Bottom Radiator Hose Cold Guage Half way - Is this normal?
Hi All.
I recently put a new radiator in my A3 , and everything seemed to be idling well.
I took her for a run tonight and I noticed a little burning smell coming from under the hood. The temp gauge goes up half way as normal, I noticed the top radiator hose is hot but the bottom one is cold. The little skinny hose to the filler bottle is hot as well. Is this normal? I was thinking I might have an air lock, so I hand pumped the hoses but nothing changed. Bottom one is still cold. It only has 35,000miles on it so I thought it cant be a sticking thermostat? Is there a purge nut on the coolant system anywhere?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
thanks
Baz
