Default Buying Audi A3 TDI

Any advice or pointers on what years, "features" to stay away from? I want to get a fairly low mileage and no older than 2010. Wish there was a manual version of the Audi A3. But there isn't. Right?

I don't like the shape of the Jetta, which I understand is the same platform.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have a 2013 Golf TDI manual with 60K miles and have averaged 48 mpg.
Golf has sport suspension, very precise handling and decent torque. 2015 model has more efficient engine, bigger with nicer interior and better gas mileage. I would go for the manual if you are capable. The 2015 Audi TDI should be more upscale.

I was looking at the same car last year. The CPO prices were close to the new car price. When I asked about it, they said it was because they weren't bringing over the A3 TDI for next year (2014).

My understanding is that there were not any A3 TDI manual transmission cars at least not the year or two I was looking at.

I'm in the same boat, I've got a jetta TDI but looking for something maybe bigger (JSW, Q5, Allroad or Avant) but would still like a TDI and manual transmission and ideally a bit more sporty or nicer interior compared to the VW stuff.
