Default Emission dashboard light

Hi there guys so basically, About two weeks ago i have changed my car battery because mine was 11 years old and after that i got the 'Emissions dashboard light' on my dash. So we plugged the device in at my local garrage to read the outcome of this issue and we got two errors: Motor for intake manifold flap(v157) Open or short to ground P3101 and the other one is: Motor for intake manifold flap(v157) No signal P3102

He reset the dashboard light and said if it pops up again visit me, so it came back after 2 days and i went back. He checked the fuses and he replaced a fuse the dashboard sign went off again. Now it has popped up again. So does this mean i have to change the manifold flap?

if so, would this fit my Audi A3 2006 2.0 TDI https://goo.gl/MgXC2W

Kind regards

If you pull the large plastic intake hose off the intake, you should see the flap move if you can get someone to start the engine for you while you shine a flashlight in the intake. (Keep hands away from spinning belts etc!). They can get stuck full of gunk (technical term!). You can try to move it by hand to free it up, try starting again, if that works just clean it thoroughly with carby cleaner or similar. The fact its blowing the fuse points toward probably replacement so trying to clean it will do no harm. If you do decide to pull it off and clean it out, when you reinstall you need to turn the ignition to on, but not start. You should hear the flap motor go through a cycle, it will go full open, full closed basically resetting itself for about 20-30 seconds. If it doesn't do this (I have 4 VAG motors and one in the 2005 golf didn't do it automatically) then you need to trigger an adaptation via Vag-com or similar to tell it to reset itself.
The part number will be on the unit if you are looking to replace it.
