Poor radio reception since drivers side bodywork repair
Hi,
I have a 2005 A3 Sportback which has recently been into a bodyshop to have some minor dents repaired on the drivers door, and drivers side front wheel arch (from some muppet revering into me when I was parked).
Since getting it back the radio reception is very poor; I can tune into a station but it will be intermittently static and lose signal. I commute the same route every day and have never had a problem before.
I've read online that the A3 aerial is in the rear window. I don't think the body shop would have done anything with the tailgate (as the damage was on the front), but am not sure which way the wires run to the head unit in the dash. Could they have disturbed/damaged them in some way or is this a terrible coincidence?
The head unit is a factory fit "Concert" single cd player.
Thanks
Rich
