Default 19 inch wheels

How do these affect the ride? Some have said these can provide a much harsher ride unless the car was made for them.Liked the Sport Seats.

The ride quality will diminish when you increase the diameter of your wheels and lower the profile of your tyres, the more inches you increase the more it will suffer

lower profile normally with larger rims means stiffer sidewalls ergo rougher ride all things being equal.

Coming from a Nissan 370Z with 18 inch wheels, the S5 ride with the 19 inch wheels is much softer. But it really depends on what your benchmark is.

I have 19s on my S5 and don't find the ride harsh at all. We have lots of potholes and rough roads in the Dallas Metroplex.

Thanks
