Default 2018 A5 Sportback

Is that picture really from a new A5? Identical to an A4!

Yep. All of the A4 and A5 variants have basically the exact interiors.

I am really interested in the A5 Sportback, however, I do not like the fixed "Infotainment Screen." I would prefer it if the screen would disappear into the dash like the A3.

this is the A4 not the A5/S5. 2018 model will have an in-dash display not like the a4. rumor has it the push button start will be on the steering wheel.

I do not believe that this is true. Audi has made the statement that going forward all of the main displays will be designed as some have called it "tacked on". They will no longer fold into the dash or be integrated to the dash like the current A/S5/RS5.

You seem to be thinking (dreaming?) about the R8.

Differences between US and European models are very minor and due to US certification issues, such as lighting. The cars come down the same production line. Which is in Europe.
