A5 2007 Advanced Key problems after battery change
Hi there,
I'm hoping someone can help me... I've search several forums with this problem but with no luck...
I have an Audi A5 2007 with the advanced key - with start/stop button. Recently the battery went flat on the key fob - I know it was the battery because I received a number of warning messages on the dash reminding me to replace the battery. However, I didn't change the battery in the key fob in time and I had the battery completely run flat on me at a time where I was unable to get a replacement battery...
So I had to unlock the car using the metal 'turn key' that is usually housed within the key fob. Then I had to insert the key fob into the ignition to start the car. It was like this for about 24 hours until i replaced the battery in the key fob.
However, with the new battery the 'advanced key' functions do not work: opening the doors, start stop button etc. Also on the dash it says 'no key identified'.
I'm guessing that the key has been reset and needs re-programming? However, I'm yet to find a working re-programme guide?
Please can someone offer (a novice) some advice here??
