There is no fix for the vibration issue, tires and control arms with bigger bushings are just an experiment. I am not at liberty to discuss the details of my outcome but don't let Audi/VW off of the hook on this problem. It is very unfortunate for such an excellent looking car.

I just got back from the dealer regarding this vibration issue. My A5 has 1200 miles and Pirellis. After tire balancing, road force tests etc., Audi offered to replace two tires. Given known problems with Pirellis, I asked that all four tires be replaced with either Continentals or Michelins. Audi replaced two tires with Pirellis yesterday. The vibration issue continues. After agreeing this morning that the problem hasn't been resolved, the dealer proposes to replace the control arms, subject to approval from Audi. Now I'm reading that this may not fix the problem and that Audi has known about this issue for some time. Is Audi Customer Advocate my best route to get Audi to do the right thing? So far, they have been stonewalling...?

Default 09 A5

I also have an 09 with Pirelli's and have 2300 miles. Have vibration in steering wheel at 60 - 65 MPH and in rear end right side at any speed. Dealer balanced wheels today took it for a test run and said all was fine. When I drove it home the problem is still there. High, let me know how U make out with the dealer. I am going to insist on new tires and control arms. We'll see what happens

I wonder why Audi insists on wasting money on new tires when they know it won't fix the problem, and will only frustrate owners. I've 500 miles on my new A5 and it also has the vibration between 60-65. I'm going to wait a little bit to see if Audi comes up with a better program before wasting my time with multiple visits getting balancing and new tires.

OK, not sure if this helps anyone or not. On mine 09 A5 S-line...after reading these posts...I see that: 1) I don't have any vibrations at any speed 2) I recall the dealer telling me (in passing) that I have Bridgestones. After reading this, I seem to be the only one with Bridgestones.

Got my car a month ago...

I have Pirelli's on 19 " Y wheels.

Thankfully no vibrations after 1,500 miles.

However, in town I seldom hit 60 and on the highway 60-70mph is the 2 seconds of my drive I spend getting to 80.
