How do you stop MMI from importing contacts
I love my 2013 S5, but I'm not the biggest fan of MMI. One of the biggest annoyances is that it always imports the contacts from my phone into the car's directory. Now, for some, this might be a desired feature but for me, I only ever call one of a handful of numbers while in the car and don't want to scroll through hundreds of numbers to find the ones I want. I found that I can add entries manually and then delete the directory to remove all the excess but after a few minutes, it's imported the contacts again. Anyone know of a way to disable this "feature?" If it matters, I have an iPhone running iOS 7.

I suggest that you set up some contact groups on your iPhone and only sync that contact group. There are several free apps that can help you create the groups...

It's up to the phone to decide which contacts if any should be synced over Bluetooth. The MMI doesn't care. In iOS you control that in the Bluetooth settings once the device is paired.
