About a month into my return to three pedals and absolutely love it. There's nothing like rowing your own and matching revs the old fashioned way (the 2.0T exhaust note is much too quiet but that will be corrected shortly). The A5 pedals are positioned reasonably well, and the clutch is very pleasant in stop and go traffic. Like Crusader105, I wish the shifter had slightly shorter throws and may install a shift kit soon. I tend to miss the upshift/downshift to 3rd every now and then, but I think that's just me being a bit rusty after 7 years with DSG. That said (1) I commute by subway and don't deal with traffic daily, and (2) I just love the art of driving with a clutch.

I love driving my 2015 A5 manual. My first Audi prior to this one I was a big Volvo fan 2013 C70 manual and 1990 740 automatic.

I have had several Audi's both with auto and manual transmissions. Previous was a 95 S6 with a 5 speed. I loved that car but replaced it with a 5.2 S6 available only with an auto trans. I did not like that trans from the day I took delivery of car.
Last month, while waiting for routine service on the S6, I was chatting with a salesman at the dealer and complaining about my transmission. He suggested I drive a S5 there that had a 6 speed. I declined but he said he wanted to have a ride in the car anyway so I drove it and was hooked. A wonderful transmission.

I found a car with the equipment I wanted and bought it. I love that little car. Only complaint about the 6 speed is the clutch linkage. The toe of my big foot hits the clutch pedal lever when I depress the pedal.

Oh, and I kept the S6.

Picked up my 2015 A5 S-line competition with the 6 speed manual over the weekend. Love it! The main reason I got this car was the stick. I was set to get a S3 and when they decided not to offer the euro-only manual here in the states i went shopping and now I'm an A5 owner because it had what i wanted.

Love it. Highly, and I cant stress this enough, suggest a short shifter whether it be the JHM or ECS shifter. Like night and day.
