Default Audi A5 Sportback

I saw my first Audi A5 Sportback last week in Mexico. What a beautiful car! I personally think it is a lot more gorgeous than the A7. If Audi brought the A5 Sportback to the US I think it would be a winner. The one I saw was Monsoon Gray with black interior and just blew me away. It was badged with a 1.8 engine.

Yeah, for whatever reason, Americans claim they don't like hatchbacks, very unpopular

A7s are rather spendy. An A5 sport back might just take away from A4 sales. I do like both the A7 and the pic A5 sport back.

RS5 sportback V8 FTW.

I never liked (and still don't) the A7. The rear tapers too much, it looks thin and weak. To me the A5 Sportback is much better looking overall, and especially from the view shown in the above photo.

These two shots show what I believe is a rounder, stronger, less tapered rear for the A5 Sportback compared to the A7. Note that the trunk lid on the A& is almost as low as the rear wheel cutout, while the entire rear of the A5 Sportback is more substantial (to me stronger) looking.

Can anyone move these two images into the body of the post so the comparison will be more obvious?

Default to be fair, you're comparing an S5 sportback with an A7.

I'll take the S7 Sportback or RS7 Sportback still.

If they brought an S5 Sportback to the States it would be my next car.

But until that day comes, it will be the S7 for me, only because I can't bring myself yet to accept the necessity of the RS7. ;-)

Default RS7…too much power is just enough.

Or was that 'not enough.'
