Default Audi e mail on Friday the 13th

So I get this e mail from Audi offering me $45k for my 2013 RS5 on a trade for a new 2016 S5 plus $21k. Anyone here gone from an RS5 to an S5? My '13 is just due for the 55k service and has been absolutely trouble free since new. Had not really thought about selling/trading, but interested in comments here.

Seems like the only upside of such a trade would be having a new car with factory warranty, but for $21k? With the new generation S5 around the corner, why would you want to downgrade to a current vintage S5, unless you really didn't like the RS5.

Dealers seem to be looking for RS5s. The used car manager at my dealership regularly emails me to inquire if I would be interested in selling them mine, but other than the R8, nothing in the current lineup piques my interest and the R8 is just a bit too impractical and too attention grabbing for my taste. If I suddenly was in need of a 4-door, then the S6/7/RS7 would become contenders, but in my current situation I have no use for a land yacht.

I have also been receiving messages re: trading in my S5. Granted, my lease is up in December so they want me to come back to Audi, but it seems this is just a ploy to get us to come in and trade for something new. I can't imagine they have a shortage of used '15 S5s with 9k miles, but...

As soon as my S7's VIN was available, my dealer asked when they could have my 2105 S5 back as they had a few people interested in buying it. If they have a very good pre-owned sales force a lot of cars are sold well before they are actually turned in. In my case they gave me an A7 to drive until my S7 arrived.

If your car is clean and well cared for they want it back.....

I have been getting emails and regular mails for trading in my 2013 S5 for a new similarly optioned 2016 S5 for 'only' $80 more per month on the lease PLUS some $5K up front. I am still trying to figure out why this would be enticing to me at this price point especially since if I price a new S5 with my exact equipment, it comes in at almost exactly the same price since a lot of my options back in 2013 are now standard.

The only thing I can think of is that they are adding in the remaining six months of lease payments into the cost of the new S5....thanks, but I will wait

I prefer the S5 over the RS 5 only because in the type of driving I do, the low end torque of the S5 is so much more enjoyable.

I noticed the dealer has an "in transit" S5 listed on their web page for $65,535. Has all the bells and whistles including black optic, nav etc. Some of which if I had to order a car I would not order. Who needs nav in ND? After thinking about it I will keep the RS5.

I'm tempted to order a new 2016 S5, and trade my 2013 S5 in, as my warranty runs out in 2 months. Now might be the time to do it as I recently received a coupon from Audi USA for $750 off, dealer will sell to me at invoice, and my current only has 25K on it.

I can't find owner loyalty bonus at Audi web site, which I have received on last 3 purchases?

I think if you go to Build the car, then go to Estimate Payments and indicate that your current car is an Audi, the tool will automatically add in the owner loyalty bonus.
