I thought Autozone had stopped scanning cars and clearing codes?

Well I took your advice on clearing the code. And see if it comes back.


Wife just took the car to work so if there's a problem she will be calling.

Autozone checked the code but wouldn't clear it.


So I purchased a code reader.

I think you can get a code reader for a lot less than $80.


You need to run all that gasoline (and additive) out of the car. Don't form any conclusions 'til that's done. I've experienced the same when using an additive in our A6.


The car is supposed to use 91 octane or better gasoline - - I know you know that.

I just use it as a crude outside temperature
Gage: if it's really cold, light goes on
If it gets warmer outside light goes out again, could take a few days.
Only if light starts flashing thomething is seriously wrong.

Engine light problem was the cat converter. Which is under emmission warranty
