Ever wish whatever you placed in that cubbyhole would stay there? Here is a chinese knockoff that really helps:

This looks like it could be useful. I have the same cutout in my A5. How difficult is the install (for a non gear head guy)?

I put one in my '15 S5. Not hard at all. Need to drill four holes. Locating the holes for the top front and rear takes care. I missed the location on one hole and had to drill a second. Located the holes for the lower (horizontal) bar without difficulty.

E.

2015 S5 (MT), 2008 S6, RT-10, XK-120 (Her's), S 85 (Her's too) and a truck.

That would not work for me. That area was design for golf clubs to fit into.

You can slide the net up and down on the little rods so it can be pushed down out of the way for those occasions where you need to get the golf clubs in.

Mine does not have a paper towel holder. I have switched to micro fiber anyway.
