Front license plate bracket

Front license plate bracket
So 100+ days after purchase, I get my new NJ plates from the dealer. I've already got a couple of protective frames, and found the short screws don't work with the full frame, that they only used 2 at the dealer, and that the front doesn't have holes in the right place. Super
Quick trip to the local Auto place, and I grab some longer screws (20mm), they are too long, and I know the full protected frame will rattle. I return the screws and need to look for some elsewhere. Maybe the local Lowe's?
Of greater concern, is the front plate. I bought out of state, and need a new inspection sicker. The inspection manager tells me to put the front plate on the dash until I get it mounted.
Am I expected to drill into the bracket? I'll have the local dealer do that, I need to bring it by for a comped detailing anyway.
Those that have a front plate, do you have a special bracket? Is there a tow hook bracket that you like?

I purchased this mounting system 6 months ago and absolutely love it. The bracket has a quick release function if you'd like to take your plate off on the fly.
The $90 price is a bit steep, but worth every penny. I have had zero issues on my 2013 S5 with a stock suspension. I will post a picture later.

Thank you. I'll take a pic of the current bracket, although I'm suremost know what it looks like.
For some reason, I don't want to drill into the bracket, I'd rather remove it and go worth a different mount.
Yes, I can pass inspection. Now that I have a jersey inspection sticker, I don't want to get pulled over for no front plate.
I think I'm also going to tint the windows, and would rather not explain to the LEO that pulls me over about 2 things that are illegal.

I use the tow hook bracket from these guys...
US Mill Works - Front License Plate Brackets
While it is usually not on my car, it is easy to install for inspections, etc. Very well made and you can adjust the angle in relation to your grill/bumper. If you want to leave it installed, it has a quick-release function so that you can easily remove it for automatic car washes.
