Default Launch control of S-Tronic/DSG

Has anyone tried the Launch Control on their S-Tronic/DSG cars?

Wanted some feedback from those who've done it. Thanks

If you mean hold the brake push the gas and release brake it works well. No launch control on an S5.

This worked in my 2008 S5. It does NOT work in the 2010 S5 Cab. Anyone know of anyway to launch the car? If you hold the gas and rev it up then let off the gas it will not engage until the rpms drop - unlike the S5 where you actually could launch off the line.

well why don't you try it yourself since you have the s tronic? I have never heard of a launch control for a5/s5. I only know step on clutch, step on gas, rev up and let go of clutch...that's my launch control

Try holding down the ESP button for a few secs to disable some of the nannies. Don't just press it, hold it down. After that, I believe you have to hold RPMs below 3k in order for brake boosting to work.

just tested it:

normal rpms at idle: 700

foot on brake, all nannies on, pressed gas; max rpm 1500
foot on brake, ASR off, pressed gas; max rpm 1500
foot on brake, ASR and ESP off, pressed gas; max rpm 1500

2010 S4 S-tronic/DSG- we do not have launch control.
