Recently I was driving and a red low oil pressure warning light came on when it hit the brakes. It beeped 3 times and then went away. Oddly enough it only comes on, but only when I brake. Later in the day the check engine light came on and the rpm was stuttering a little when the car was idling.

I'm getting it checked out tomorrow, but I wanted to know if anyone has ever experienced this?

… I can't tell whether you have a 2.0/3.0/4.2 power plant… I assume you have checked the oil level. If it is very low, than under braking or cornering, the pump may have trouble scavenging the oil for circulation.

I should have mentioned that it's a 2.0T. Oil levels are fine.

Hi All,
I took my car to the dealership and it turned out to be a cracked PCV crank case vent valve and I was in and out within a couple of hours.
