Drive select has the ride height adjustment to make the S5 sit higher or lower.
The Sports differential option does not have the ride adjustment, but has everything else and $3000 cheaper. The Sports Differential is the most important aspect - you can live without the full drive select.

Default Awesome - thank you for the quick reply - does your S5 have tint btw?

I can't tell from your sig shot.

Am debating it on the S5 - never did with my S4. Curious as to what is a good %% tint.

This is not true at all.

Drive select includes the following:
1. Adjustable suspension dampening, not height.
2. Adjustable throttle response
3. Adjustable shift points for automatics only
4. Adjustable sports differential
5. Adjustable steering torque
6. Adjustable steering ratio

Sports Differential package includes:
#2 above
#3 above
#4 above
#5 above

It does not allow suspension dampening adjustments or steering ratio adjustments.

Now that 2013 has the 'acoustics' adjustment, does anyone know if 'acoustics' is included with Sports Differential package also? Or whether it is just for those who have Audi Drive Select?

There is no "Drive Select" package offered on the 2013 S5. The packages are:
  • Driver Assist
  • Sports differential
  • Adaptive damping suspension (requires one or both of the previous packages)

With any of these packages, "Drive Select" controls are available. In my S5 with MMI, I have only Sports differential. Acoustics are included.

There are three pre-configured settings in Drive Select : Auto, Comfort, Dynamic. There is an "Individual" mode in which individual systems such as steering and throttle response can be set independently. Acoustics can be adjusted within "Individual" as well.

Of course "Acoustics" may turn out to be a controversial feature in the long run...

Gotcha. Thanks for clearing that all up.

WRONG ! You just said the same thing I did. A matter of semantics.

I don't see anything in your response about steering ratio. Additionally, the ride height is not affected by Audi Drive Select. In essense, your response was all wrong.

If you're not a detailed person, don't mislead by trying to answer a detailed question.

ok so...since putting the car in dynamic drive select mode also selects the "S" sport mode, does the reverse also apply? are they one and the same, dynamic drive select and/or sport mode? (if car is so equipped)
