I believe the tires are original, they are Pirelli p6 four season 245/40 r18's. the carfax does not show anything about tires being replaced & the tread is low but not unevenly worn or are they bald.
they suck in the snow though, the car does not like stopping in a hurry.
I was looking for winter tires but now I might have to just buy another set of all seasons.

I can tell you I found the Pirelli P6 far and away was the most terrible tire I have ever owned. Had them on my 09 A4 and when I finally had enough of the vibrations, out of round jounce, rough ride and noise, I replaced them at the time with Conti DWS. My 13 A6 came with Pirelli P-Zeros and I dumped them in favor of Bridgestone RE970AS right after I took delivery. IMO, almost any tire will be better than a Pirelli, especially the P6. If snow performance and ride are priorities, the Conti DWS would be hard to beat for a UHP year-round all season tire.

I can vouch for the Bridgestone RE970AS (all season) tires. I put them on my 2003 A4 and they are superb in ride, noise and tire wear.
I am surprised you "junked" your brand new Pirelli P Zeros. I have them on my S5 and I just hit 10,000 miles. They seem good, but I will replace them with another brand.
