i have a 2014 S5 only mod i have done is an AWE S-flow it changes the hose and filter and its still quiet using the stock air box.
the car feels like it has no top end even before the filter change i was going to check and see what others are doing for this.
the AWE exhaust is my next mod

Thanks my guess is you have to do air filter/ exhaust just not sure IF cat back is all many do or full on from heads down. Would love for any S5 owners who have done mods to make a suggestion of a turn key brand/model of down pipe/cat back combo with filter suggestions that are the more quite sounding vs the louder kind! Just like to see additional "pep" in car and little more throaty sound but not full on track based sound! Dont want to much up the daily driver factor!!

Apparently the stock programming starts reducing boost at about 5200 rpm. This is why a reflash can yield so much additional horsepower AND torque on top end. A typical turbo reflash runs out of turbo capacity at higher rpm and does not yield as much gain there as at mid range. Our supercharged engines are capable of pumping more air at higher rpm. Even without changing the drive pulley. I'm not sure I want to start turning mine to 7000 rpm however. Been there and done that with a 1.8T in the TT that I track. Eventually it went BOOM.

Thanks!! BOOM is bad in this car!! I did that in my 08 C6 blown vette and that $$$$ stung but better motor now fully built no more boom yet! 807 rwhp so my race car is done just want to add some power/nice sounding exhaust to the 2014 S5 I am buying. ANY tuning changes as of now will fry my 2.4 years left on factory warranty! ANY suggestions for a solid "streetable" exhaust upgrade ( I have read about some but no clue really whats best) and is it suggested down pipes thru cat back or just cat back plus good filter upgrade? Before tuning and pulley upgrade down the road I am sure!

BOOM is bad in any car but in all fairness that little 1.8T was chipped at 30k miles and had 120k on it when it dropped a valve on track at Road Atlanta. It had over 5000 miles of track time on it and lots of enjoyable mountain drives. It did not owe me anything.
I found a good used engine and it still lives in my basement and gets to go to the track occasionally. It is the car that started my Audi habit.

As for shops in the metro, I recommend:

DUB Squared
Dubsquared | VW/Audi Repair | Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington

or

Blair Auto
Frisco Audi and Volkswagen Repair | Blair Automotive, Inc.

or

Zinks

They are all good shops managed by great people.

Blair and DUBsquared use APR and I think Zinks has Unitronic.

Really comes down to location.

DUBSquared - South Arlington
Zinks - I think in HEB area
Blair - Frisco, north dallas

I second the negative comment about the Plano Audi... those idiots passed up trying to up sell me a brand new 2016 S5. I was itching to buy a car that day, had my eye on a used 15 S5, but could have easily been swayed to a 16. I felt like I was treated as if they didnt think I could afford the 16 or something. Its not that at all, I just detest drive off depreciation quite a bit, so try not to buy brand new anymore.
